Call to Order: 7:11 p.m.
Attendees: 11 Full Members, 2 Guests Full Members: Brian Carberry, Janet Carberry Rebecca McCarty, Shirley Boyd, Bill Robinson, Pat Robinson, Bonnie Hale, Kathy Norfleet, Loraine Guidry, Nicole Guidry, & Carlene Guidry Guests: Durwood Headly & Jean Headly from the Azalea City Toy Breeds Club.
Roll call of minutes: Minutes from February meeting were read. There were no changes. Motion to accept the minutes as read was made by Pat Robinson and 2nd by Janet Carberry. The motion passed unanimously.
President’s Report: None
Corresponding Secretary Report: None
Treasurer’s Report: Reported we have $11, 746.59 in the bank.
Committee Reports:
Show: Becky reports the show has been “birthed” and we are just waiting on AKC requests and approval. The AKC has already approved the judges panel.
AKC Update: Brian reported there was no new action from AKC.
Legislative Update: Bonnie reported that ROPA in Texas doest not believe the Farm Bill changes, that would have benefited small breeders, will be approved due to opposition from HSUS. She stated anyone can donate to ROPA to help them with their defense.
Bonnie also reported that there is a spay/neuter bill in the Alabama state congress, back by veterinarians, that will eliminate low-cost spay/neuter clinics.

Committee Reports (cont.): Trophies: Kathy sent emails to everyone begging for Group sponsorships due to many groups still not having prizes.
Sat Sun Sporting Open Open Hound Done Open Working Non-sporting Toy Herding Terrier
Kathy sent a list around for anyone who wants to sponsor additional individual prizes.
Kathy Norfleet is sponsoring Best Owner/Handler but would like more sponsorship. Anyone donating money should send it directly to Pat Robinson, not Kathy.
** ALL Trophies MUST BE finalized by April meeting
Old Business: Barbara Robinson completed her 1 yr term as a pending member and was voted as a full member at the February Board meeting.
MKC Disaster Relief Fund – The proposal was discussed at the February Board meeting. The Board voted to adopt the program as submitted with minor changes to the funding section. Copies were handed out to meeting attendees. Pat Robinson stated that “brag monies” needed to be added to the funding section. With this correction, a motion was made to accept the Disaster Relief Fund by Pat Robinson, a 2nd was made by Carlene McKinnell. The motion passed unanimously.
New Business: The club needs to hold a Match soon. After discussion it was decided the club would hold a Match on Saturday, April 26 at 1:00 pm. Registration will begin at 12:00 Noon.
Nicole graciously stepped up and took the reins as Chairperson of the Match. Carlene said she will ring steward. (MKC minutes March 2014cont.)
New Business – AprilMatch (cont.): Locations discussed were: 1st Medal of Honor Park 2nd Pavilion at Municipal Park 3rd Pavilion at the Park Downtown
Adjournment: Motion to adjourn was made by Pat Robinson, 2ndby Carlene McKinnell. Motion passed unanimously. Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm.
Brags: Janet Carberry – herChinese Crested puppy, “Sharky” took Winner’s Dog all 4 days in Hattiesburg, MSand BW on 2 of those days for 4 pts.
Carlene McKinnel –“Toot” did very well in Hattiesburg earning 4 pts: Thurs – BoS & BW, Fri – BW, Sat – BW, Sun –BW. He also did well the following weekin Pensacola getting 1 pt on Sunday to finish hisChampionship.
Becky – Got headersand a performance package on her new corvette.
Bonnie for Leann –“Teddy” her TFT finished in Hattiesburg and is now a Champion
Bonnie – “Ballet” her6 mth TFT went WB/BoS in Hattiesburg on Sat for 1 pt. Also, Oreo,TFT (bred by Bonnie) went BB in Pensacola Sat & Sun.
