Roll call of minutes:Minutes from the March meeting were read and accepted as read.  Motion to accept – Pat Robinson: 2ndCarlene McKinnell.

Unanimously passed.

Treasurer’s Report:Pat Robinson reported we have:

Main Account: $9501.59

Disaster Relief Fund: $51.00


We made 2 payments to the MS Coliseum totaling $4,000.xx


Committee Reports:



Becky reported the show and the judging panel are fully approved andlisted on the AKC website.  She statedthe coliseum is fully paid but we will some money after the show for misc.expenses during the show. 


Becky is taking suggestions for judges at the 2016 show.  If anyone has a suggestion please submit thejudges name with the judges credentials. Any judge submitted must be eligible to judge at least 3 groups.

AKC Update:

Brian reported the AKC is seriously considering making the NationalOwner Handler Series (NOHS) the Special Attraction a club must have beforeothers are selected.  Other SpecialAttractions are Best Bred-By Exhibitor, Best Veteran, Best Puppy).


The AKC is reporting that the 4-6 month Beginner Puppy class isattracting new exhibitors.  They report50% of the exhibitors are new with 68% of them continuing to regular classes.


Also, effective immediately the AKC is reinstituting the 12 monthminimum age for the Coursing Aptitude Test (CAT) at the recommendation of theDelegate Herding, Earthdog, and Coursing Events committee.


Legislative Update:

Shirley Boyd sent out information via email at Bonnie’s requestregarding HSUS training lawyers.  HSUSclaims that more than 2,000 attorneys throughout the U.S. are providing "pro bono" (free)legal services to the HSUS and most State Bar Associations have now establishedAnimal Law Committees. 



Kathy reported that all groups are covered.  Kathy read the list of all Group Sponsors andPrizes to ensure accuracy.  The list willbe submitted to MB-F Superintendent this month for publication in the Program.


Becky motioned we give $25.00 for obedience High-In-Trial each day ifwe cannot get the 40 lbs of food for the prizes.  After discussion Pat Robinson 2ndthe motion.  Passed unanimously.


Kathy asked that anyone sponsoring a prize EMAIL her listing EXACTLYhow you want the listing in the Program.


Old Business:

Nicole reported the Match has been approved and will be held at Municipal Park on Ziegler Blvd.  Nicole stated she will be working thatweekend.  Brian Carberry with Carlene McKinnell volunteered to get the gates for thematch.  Janet will be doing CGC and PatRobinson will be judging.


New Business:

Leann: Kayta now has 7 pts into her Gr.Ch.

Barbara Robinson: Oreo is nationally ranked #12 in TFT andhas 51 Gr.Ch. pts.

Kathy Norfleet: Mickey tookselect for a 5 pt major in Franklin, TN.  He now has 20 Gr.Ch. pts

Bonnie: Ballet took WB for 1 pt in Newnan, GA

Bonnie/Carlene: Spirit aka Toot now has 1 Gr.Ch. pt.
